Why is two-step authentication (2FA) needed?
What is 2FA and why is it needed?
Two-factor authentication (also known as 2FA or two-step authentication) is an additional means of protecting your account.
After enabling 2FA, each time you log into your account, you will need to enter:
- login and password;
- one-time six-digit code.
2FA is an additional measure to protect your funds — when using it, it is almost impossible for unauthorized persons to log into your account.
What 2FA methods are available on KickEX?
There are two ways you can choose from 2FA:
1. 2FA using Google Authenticator.
We recommend using this method as it provides the best security for your funds. When using it, the generation of API keys is available.
2. 2FA using one-time codes received by email.
This method is less reliable, and it also does not provide API keys.
